When you arrive at the Dehli International Airport, look for one of our guides holding a sign with your name on it. After introductions, you’ll be driven to your hotel room. Unwind after your long flight or explore the city on your own. (B)

After breakfast, tour the bustling streets of Delhi to experience the raw energy of this city. Drive through the Raisina Hill area and admire historic architecture, including the Rashtrapati Bhavan (the official home of the president of India), Lutyen's magnum opus and the stunning India Gate.

Continue to the Qutub Minar, a towering structure erected centuries ago to mark the victory of a Muslim king in India. Afterwards, travel to the Dehli International Airport to fly to Kathmandu. (B,D)

Following breakfast, our staff drives you to the Chitwan National Park in Nepal – an area rich with lush forests, vibrant flowers and incredibly diverse wildlife. The journey takes about five hours.

Upon arrival, enjoy lunch at the hotel and learn about the programs and facilities at the lodge. Then get ready to explore the jungle. A unique safari takes you to prime areas for watching exotic wildlife: Witness elephants, rhinoceroses, leopards and monkeys swinging from tree to tree. With luck, you may even spy a Royal Bengal tiger.

This safari lasts 2-3 hours. Afterwards, return to the lodge and enjoy a slide presentation during which a jungle expert will teach you more about Chitwan National Park. Alternatively, you can experience a traditional Tharu Stick dance taught by farmers at one of the nearby villages. Complete the day with dinner at the hotel. (B,L,D)

Wake early and enjoy coffee or tea before experiencing a bird-watching tour. Guides help you identify some of the 276 exotic species found in the area. Return to the hotel for breakfast and then drive about five hours to Pokhara, Nepal’s third-largest city.

Check into your hotel upon arrival and then, in the evening, take a boat cruise on the stunning Fewa Lake, which is surrounded by sky-piercing mountains. Return to your hotel for dinner. (B,D)

Rise early to admire a mesmerizing sunset from the village of Sarangkot (weather permitting), where sweeping views of the Pokhara Valley and surrounding mountains await.

After returning to the hotel for breakfast, embark on a sightseeing tour of Pokhara. Begin by visiting the Bindyabasini Temple, an ancient and very famous spiritual structure. Next, experience the powerful Seti River, which runs through the center of the city, and then embrace the colorful ambience of the Old Bazar.

Soak up the raging beauty of Devis Falls as it spills into a deep trench and then journey to the nearby Tashiling Tibetan Refugee Settlement at Chhorepatan. Visit a monastery, meet the residents and learn about the craftsmanship that goes into producing authentic hand-made carpets.

Wander through Gupteshwor Cave, where people once worshipped an ancient Hindu God, before visiting the last attraction on the day’s itinerary: the World Peace Pagoda. Resting on a hilltop, this stupa is a symbol of understanding between different cultures. Return to the hotel for dinner. (B,L,D)

Enjoy breakfast before boarding a flight to Kathmandu. Our guide meets you at the airport upon your arrival and then drives you to your hotel. Your tour of this enthralling city begins after lunch. Visit the temple of the Living Goddess, a remarkable place to experience ancient spirituality, and then view the temples of Durbar Square. Next, take a trip to Swayambhunath, a 2000-year-old Buddhist stupa, and then visit the city of Patan, known for its rich tradition of arts and crafts. Also experience the charm of Durbar Square, the Krishna Temple and the Mahadouddha Temple. (B,L)

In the morning, take a 45-minute flight that allows you to soar just above the Himalayan Mountains, including Mount Everest, providing a rare glimpse at some of the world’s most beautiful scenery. Return to your hotel for breakfast and then travel to the Bouddhanath Temple, just outside of Kathmandu. This is one of the world’s largest stupas and a shining example of Tibetan Buddhist culture. Next, visit Pashupatinath Temple, which is one of the four most important religious sites for followers of Shiva. Dine at the elegant Boudha Kitchen Restaurant for lunch. Wake early and then travel by train to Agra and explore the legendary Taj Mahal – a world-famous memorial of white marble that took more than 17 years to build. Arrive on a charming horse-drawn carriage or ‘Tongas.’ Visit the red sandstone walls of Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and admire the towering arches of Dewan-e-Am, where the Emperor once commanded his subjects. Learn more about how the Taj Mahal was built with a visit to a local marble inlay workshop. Enjoy a decadent lunch at Jaypee Palace hotel in Agra. This afternoon, travel by train to the city of Jaipur and meet your guide upon arrival. Check in at your hotel and then spend the day at your leisure. (B,L)

Enjoy breakfast and then drive north to Amber Fort, tucked amid the lush Aravalli Hills. Wander along cobblestone streets and admire uniquely ornate buildings while soaking up stunning views of the lake below. Returning to Jaipur, tour the thriving city streets and admire elegant buildings that feature delicate honeycomb screens and intricately styled balconies. Experience the geometric delight of the 17th century Jai Singh’s Observatory and then discover fine paintings and artifacts at the City Palace. This evening, embark on an elephant safari followed by fine dining at Dera Amer. (B,D)

Your final day in India. After breakfast, unwind during a rickshaw ride through the market followed by a shopping tour through the Old City. Browse colorful painted fabrics, sparkling jewelry and handcrafted souvenirs. After lunch at the hotel, drive to Delhi and then enjoy dinner before traveling to the airport for your departing flight.
